ABOUT TYPE UF-B UNDERGROUND CABLE DESCRIPTION: UF-B Underground Feeder Cable's construction provides solid or stranded Type THHN/THWN conductors laid parallel with or without an uninsulated grounding conductor. An outer jacket of tough polyvinyl chloride (PVC), applied directly over the assembled conductors, provides protection against mechanical damage, moisture, chemicals and corrosion. |

Conductors: Solid (per ASTM B-3) or stranded soft annealed uncoated copper (per ASTM B-8) Insulation: Polyvinyl chloride (PVC) compound to thickness required by Underwriters Laboratories for Type THHN 90°C rated Color Code: Conductor Jacket: Heat stabilized nylon Grounding Conductor: Uninsulated, soft annealed solid Assembly: Individual Type THHN/THWN conductors are laid parallel with (or without) a grounding conductor it is placed in the web between insulated conductors Temperature: 60°C wet or dry Rating: 600V SPECIFIC & STANDARDS: UL Standard 493 - Thermoplastic Insulated Underground Feeder and Branch Circuit Cables.
